GrayDS, Inc. is a consulting firm specializing in mission critical radio system deployment. These efforts include pre-construction and site construction/deployment efforts, including engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) tasks. Our skill sets include site acquisition, permitting, engineering design, structural engineering (tower and foundation), civil engineering and environmental compliance services. Our team completes the site construction efforts with a site dedicated team using an integrated schedule including construction tasks, long lead time procurement and inspections. We provide our services to a wide spectrum of clients from Federal, State and Local first responder agencies and private radio system owners. GrayDS Inc. is a SAM, (System for Award Management) registered small business with several federal small business contracts where we are the prime or a teaming partner. Our federal customers include work with Department of Agriculture (US Forest Service), Department of Homeland Security with Customs and Border Protection (CBP), FAA, Department of Defense (Navy and Army) and Department of Interior (BLM, USGS, NPS, FWS). We have small business prime contracts with multiple agencies.

GrayDS, Inc. Engineering Site Design team has a complete portfolio of Architectural and Engineering and Site Development services ensuring efficient and effective full-service integration solutions. From an installation or upgrade on a single existing tower, to the deployment of hundreds of new sites. The Site Design and Integration’s core-strength services include detailed site surveys, needs assessment, civil design, electrical design, generator resizing, solar expertise, project/construction management, site construction, and dispatch center refurbishing/design/construction.

Our engineering solutions include advanced structural analysis allowing our team to evaluate legacy towers including tower and foundation mapping, tower analysis and modification design (if needed) and custom foundation design. Additionally, we have PE (professional engineer) licenses in most states allowing our team to be used for multiple projects within a larger program.

GrayDS, Inc. uses the Motorola Standards and Guidelines for Communication Sites (R-56 – 2017), FAA 19f, which is a compilation of industry best practices. We are also compliant with the International Building Code, NEC, NFPA, MAG, ANSI, IEEE, ISO, OSHA, and UL standards.
From a customer perspective, adherence to our R56 guidelines to ensure high, consistent quality, which in turn provides service reliability and longevity.

We also provide agency support for environmental compliance including NEPA and Section 106 compliance, various environmental studies like biological and cultural resource assessments with SHPO, (State Historic Preservation Office), support for tribal consultation and interagency coordination.
