GrayDS delivers a one stop solution for the design and deployment of LMR radio systems. Our team provides complete RF engineering design solutions including RF coverage maps, system requirement analysis, and implementation of the radio system including staging, deployment and optimization / testing. With GrayDS, you will also receive complete support for cutover from existing systems to the new systems including legacy system removal.
GrayDS is currently deploying a multi-state, multi-site LMR PTT radio system across the Midwestern states.
Radio Systems
GDS is currently deploying an LMR MOTOTRBO radio system in the Denver, Casper, Minneapolis, Omaha, Des Moines and LaCrosse, Wisconsin markets. This system will be part of a larger radio system that will cover the MidWestern States.
GDS has provided Frequency coordination, RF design, and deployment support with leasing and permitting. Motorola’s local dealers are performing the equipment installation and testing. GDS is providing sales management support once the system is operational.
GDS management team has been involved in the deployment of radio systems in the VHF, UHF, 700, 800 900 and 1900 frequency bands. These systems have been for government agencies, businesses, commercial carriers and First Responders. We have also been involved with the deployment of fiber, microwave and T1 backhaul solutions.

GDS system engineering processes provide the seamless coordination of the various engineering disciplines required to build, and deploy the radio system using small, highly responsive integrated product teams (IPTs).
GDS system engineering design process is tailored from the company’s basic systems engineering process flow shown in Figure 1.3. All system baselines are documented and system trades are accomplished by cross functional teams. The systems engineering process controls maintain order and ensure that complete documentation is maintained and available for turn-over. Keys to success are continuous peer reviews, active OEM and customer participation and leadership in key IPTs and IPT design reviews. Our team focuses on Life Cycle Issues, includes Cost, Logistics/Supportability and required system personnel.
